The Pocket Jesus Project

No it’s not the ocean but it is an inside joke?  One member of our trip loves the ocean and has a habit of asking “is that the ocean?” when it comes to large bodies of water.

This is the Pensacola Bay and we just started driving over it to go to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico side.  It was breathtaking.

Since I live in the “north” I don’t get to enjoy Hardee’s.  I have heard that they used to be everywhere but they died off up here.  The entire trip those I were riding with were always on the look out for Hardee’s signs.  They were determined to eat Hardee’s for breakfast.

Sure enough about 7am we stopped at a Hardee’s for breakfast.  I over heard them saying they were in Heaven.  I didn’t think we were in Heaven because we still hadn’t made it through Alabama.

I realize that I have a firm understanding of eternity because well I have always been and always will be, but I have a new way of describing it.  Eternity is like driving through Alabama.  When one state takes up half of the time of the trip you start to wonder if it is ever gonna end.

This past weekend (Memorial Day) I had the pleasure of traveling to Pensacola, FL.  This week I thought it would be nice to share the pictures from the trip.

Ever heard the saying about the writing on the wall?  Well this gem was discovered in the restroom while making a pit stop.

While at Norwood’s After Prom I had the pleasure of playing 3D Twister. Honestly it wasn’t much of a pleasure since I can’t bend my arms and legs. So I resorted to calling the game.

I hung out at Norwood’s After Prom a couple weeks ago.  It was great to hang around kids and love on them.

I couldn’t resist asking the Prom King if I could try on his crown.

I like it.  It was kinda heavy but I think it works.

Sometimes irony makes me chuckle.

Do you get the irony of me and a “Give Me More Stripes” card?

Sometimes people come up with poses for me to attempt and sometimes I need their help.  This is one of those moments.  After having one too many energy drinks and getting up far to early for the trip the idea came to make it look like I was relieving myself into the fountain.

You should have seen the people walking by watching us cracking up laughing at the fun we were having.  Sometimes people are just a little too uptight.

I haven’t forgotten you all, I promise.
