Wiggley Field and Friends

April 11th, 2009 |

I had the pleasure of taking my favorite puppy, Kaya, to Wiggley Field.  Wiggley Field is a dog park at VOA.  Kaya was very excited and had a blast chasing the tennis ball and the softball.

But all the dogs that were there and came while we were there were big dogs.  So Kaya had no playmates.  We were both sad and found ourselves longing to go to the other side and play with those doggies.

Find A Penny…Pass it On

April 10th, 2009 |

There’s a saying that goes something like “Find a penny pick it up and all day you will have good luck.”

I found a penny while shopping in Cleveland and picked it up.  But I did one better than keeping it and having “good luck”, I passed the good fortune on.  I tossed it into the fountain where the proceeds were being donated to a children’s home.  They’ll do a lot more with that penny than I will.

Do the Dew and King Kong

April 9th, 2009 |

While visiting Cleveland I had my first encounter with Mountain Dew and decided to “Do the Dew”

Unfornately for me (and lucky for you) the caffeine caused me to act out a little.  It’s a lot of caffeine for such a little body.  When leaving for the next adventures I attempted to go all “King Kong” on a nearby building.  I had to have help but it was fun and everyone laughed.  Laughter is good.

Bonus Picture

April 8th, 2009 |

I just realized that all I have shown you has been my back side in the last few posts.  So here’s a bonus picture.

There’s always one clown in the bunch that loves to get into your picture.  Here’s to my first set of bunny ears.

Two Friends, Two Birthdays

April 8th, 2009 |

So this past weekend I took my first road trip to Cleveland (which you already knew).  The trip was in celebration of two friends and their birthdays (only 8 days apart).

These two have been friends since the 90’s and have weathered the roller coaster of life together.  (I would like to take credit for their friendship.)

Happy birthday to my Heaven Buddies.

Email

April 7th, 2009 |

Today I am at work with my friend and decided to help her tackle some emails.  It’s a lot different than scroll mail from back in the day but times change.

Opening Day 2009

April 6th, 2009 |

So today I got to experience the glory of Opening Day in Cincinnati.  I hope I can experience the glory of the Cincinnati Reds having a winning season and going to the World Series.

It’s a good thing hope springs eternal and that I am good with hope.

Wrestlemania

April 5th, 2009 |

I have experienced a lot of the culture in the past few days….a road trip, the HoF, Wrestlemania, and Opening Day to come.

Personally I find the drama and the wrestling a little fake (perhaps a little too staged will appease the wrestling fans), but I enjoys hanging out with my friends.

Rock n Roll Hall of Fame

April 4th, 2009 |

My road trip to Cleveland was to visit the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.  (It was part of the birthday celebration fun for my friend and her friend.  Their birthdays are 8 days apart.)

I had a good time and learned a lot, but I was sad that there were no pictures allowed inside the exhibits.  I really wanted a picture with some U2 gear.

Take the Wheel

April 4th, 2009 |

Today was my first ever road trip.   They asked me to take the wheel….but my friend had to take care of the gas and brake pedal since I couldn’t can’t reach.

In case you were wondering, the stretch between Columbus and Cleveland is boring.
